{ " Get excited! " }

Well, I'm at least going to get excited, because the stores are starting to stock up with brand new products for 2014!
I went to Walmart yesterday, to pick up a prescription for my dad, and I just happened to wander into the hair care aisle. I'll be honest... I could have bought so many different new products, but I held back, and only grabbed a few that intrigued me. I think people might have found me to be a little strange, because I was in that aisle for over 20 minutes, and I was moving down the aisle at a slow rate, reading the ingredients of many different products. Oh well, it was fun, and I only got one "annoyed" look, because I was standing in front of something another woman wanted to look at... The horror!

So, I picked up these four products, one of which is not new to stores, but is new to me:

Let's all take a moment to look at this photo, and notice there is no snow, and that it was fifty degrees yesterday, which allowed me to lay out on the deck with my products to take photos of. I think my neighbor may have the idea  that I am kind of crazy...

So, here are the products, and some "first impressions" - full reviews will come when I have had more time to try these products out:

1) it hair care - Illuminating Instant Shine & Finishing Spray
   - This "shine spray" is from a brand I have never even seen before, so of course I was intrigued. I love finishing sprays, and I don't actually own a firm hold hairspray at the time... because I just keep forgetting to buy one I suppose. First of all, the can is absolutely gorgeous. It's gold, and shiny, with big sparkle star things... and I love it. The back says it has flexible hold, and it provides some percentage of amazing shine. I love the nozzle, it sprays out incredibly fine. It doesn't have much of a specific scent, I really can't explain what it smells like. I did try it out, and it made my floor extremely slippery. It somehow also made the hallway outside of my room slippery as well, and my brother ended up slipping and falling... That's slightly dangerous.

2) L'Oreal Paris - Sleek It Iron Straight Heat Spray
   - I used this this morning when I straightened my hair (as I do almost every morning *le sigh*), and I can't tell if I like it. The spray is very fine, and I like the nozzle. It is kind of like the Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray nozzle. It's like a spray bottle, rather than a little push down sprayer. Which is nice, especially when you're working with a product that is potentially slippery. The mist is very fine, but it sprays out quite a "wide" spray... If that makes any sense. I can't tell if I like it yet... My hair is quite shiny, but I think it may be borderline greasy, which could possibly be from using the Aussie mousse in my hair last night... I'm not sure. So, I will have to wait until the next time(s) I use it, to give a clear review! The scent is almost exactly like the got2b Guardian Angel Flat Iron Balm, which I don't really care for. It does have a little bit of a coconut "after smell" (is that even a real thing...?). I prefer fruity scents, so I'm not too keen on the scent, but it doesn't linger in the hair. Evidently it is supposed to keep hair sleek and straight for 3 days... but, does that mean curly hair, straight hair? I'm not quite sure!

3) Aussie - Sprunch Mousse and Leave in Conditioner
   - This is not a new product for 2014, but it is a new product for me. I was looking for a light hold mousse, specifically to use when styling my bangs, and I just happened to pick this one up, because I have tried a few other products from Aussie, that I love. I took a shower tonight, and put this mousse all throughout my hair, it didn't scrunch, or make my hair look wavy, but it gave it a nice texture,  it looks quite bouncy, and full. It also did an amazing job at helping my bangs to stay put, and not split in the middle. Quite pleased with this so far!

4) Herbal Essences Naked - Dry Shampoo (0% Parabens/Colorant)
   - I picked this up, because I love dry shampoo, and I have only found one that I like so far. The only dry shampoo that I actually have found decent is Batiste. Which is 7.99 a can, and I have only found it at Price Chopper, and Ulta. Seeing as I don't use it too often, it wasn't a crazy amount to pay... but, I have been using it more often, and I don't want to buy it again, to be honest. So, I grabbed this one from Herbal Essenses which was only 4.97, and there is more product in the can. It smells amazing. Like citrus and mint, and it comes out in a nice fine, even spray. I haven't tried it in my hair yet, but as soon as I do, hopefully I'll be able to write an in-depth review.

Will be putting up full reviews as soon as I have decided I have used the products enough to review them accurately!

Thanks for reading!

Are you excited about any products that have come out for 2014?

{ " Hair Growth Update " }

I wouldn't normally do an update in the middle of the month... but, I think this is needed.
My hair has grown an insane amount in the last two weeks. It's actually crazy. I don't think my hair has ever grown this quickly! I'm not quite sure what to owe the growth to, seeing as I've been doing a lot of hair treatments over the last two weeks. And I mean a lot. I have done everything from a coconut oil deep condition, to inversion. Yes, inversion.

Basically I had been putting coconut oil in my hair twice a week, then using a shampoo/conditioner 2-in-1 to wash it out in order to keep the moisture in my hair. Sadly that shampoo/conditioner had sulfates in it, so I won't be using it again, unless it's just to wash out coconut oil! Then, I started putting literally a drop of castor oil in with my conditioner every time I washed my hair (which is every other day, or every three days). You need to only literally put a drop of castor oil, or else it won't rinse out and you'll be left with nasty, oily, sticky hair. Not a fun time.

Then I came across something called the "inversion method". I was quite curious about this. I don't really know how to phrase this properly without offending anyone... but, all of the YouTube videos I watched on inversion were done by women of color. They all said the same thing, "1 Inch of Growth in 7 Days!". Right... who's going to believe that? Well a bunch of them showed their results with videos they uploaded 7 days later, and their hair looked to be 1 inch longer. Most of them even used a measuring tape to show you! They said to heat up some oil, any oil of your choice (I used olive oil and a little bit of cinnamon, which stimulates the scalp), and to massage it into your roots for a minute or two. Then you are to "invert" yourself for up to five minutes. You can only do it once a month, because your brain evidently gets used to it, and knows you're just tricking it into stimulating your scalp. So, everyone said to only do it once a month. I lost track of time a few days, so it was more like ten minutes... There are a lot of like... warnings on the inversion method. So look it up before you try it, read a lot about it, and do it exactly the way they tell you to. Being women of color they did not have to wash their hair afterward, because of their hair type. I on the other hand had to wash my hair out every day, because I couldn't just walk around with greasy hair all day.
I will admit I only did this for five days, and on two days when I was out late grocery shopping it was like torture to have to do my hair. I could have done it in the morning, but I prefer to wash my hair at night then style it in the morning. I think I skipped it on Friday on accident, because by the time I realized what time it was it was like 10:00PM. Then on Sunday I skipped also. So... I didn't do the full seven days, but I didn't believe it would work anyways, so I didn't actually care. Well, today is technically day seven of the inversion method. So it's measuring day.

Unfortunately I lost the photos I took last Monday, so we will have to do with the photo from December 1st a day after I got my hair cut in the first place.

My hair was just a tiny bit longer than chin length. Probably at the most a 1/2" below chin length. Now it's touching my shoulders in the back and on the sides. The front is layered quite a bit, so it looks shorter in places.

I'm pretty sure from these photos that I've gotten at least 3/4" growth. Now, this is over the course of two weeks. I'm not saying the inversion thing did this all. But, it's kind of crazy. The back/sides of my hair is touching my shoulders. Which it was not even close to doing a couple of weeks ago. Even the layers in the back are grown out to the point where I can stand them. I can finally put my hair into a decent ponytail, and all of it stays back except a couple of pieces in the front. It is actually at a length I like, and I didn't have to wait like two months. My bangs have grown out so much that I can't even style them properly anymore. So they kind of just look crazy all the time! I'm trying to keep myself from cutting them, because they're just so annoying!

That is a lot of growth isn't it? I'm not just going crazy right? o.O Hair grows at an average of 1/2" a month, so I'm pretty sure about 3/4" in two weeks is pretty stinkin' awesome.

Y'all are going to think I'm crazy. But, I just held a ruler up to where my hair was cut to two weeks ago, and measured to where it is now... and it was over an inch longer. So, I'm giving an inch of growth give or take. Maybe that inversion thing really did work... I suppose I'll be doing that again next month! Sometimes I wish I had my hair dyed so I could measure by how much my roots grew out. Hahaha. Joke. ;)

I also started taking different vitamins and I have seen a huge difference in my nails, even though I have only been taking them for like four days. Which, maybe that is just wishful thinking, but I don't know. I can actually have them free of polish without them breaking or splitting today.

So, yes. I just thought I'd do that little update, because it's pretty exciting. I'll probably do another update on February 1st, unless I see an insane amount of growth before then!

This is going to be so much fun! Documenting my hair growth is actually really fun. It's making me more excited for the day I can be like, "I REACHED ARMPIT LENGTH; HALLELUJAH!" It will be fun sharing my hair growth experiences with you guys (whoever "you guys" may happen to be). Hopefully you learn some tips and tricks along with me, and have fun too!

{ " Desert Essence Coconut Hair Defrizzer & Heat Protector " }

Desert Essence sent me their Coconut Defrizzer & Heat Protector spray to try, and I was so excited to finally receive it! It is gluten-free which is a plus for me, and well... you can't go wrong with coconut!

This is the third Desert Essence product I have tried, and well... I only just received it today.

But, I love it already! First thing I did was smell it.
Of course. Because, if something doesn't smell good, it's not going in my hair.
It smells amazing. Just like coconut. It actually smells almost identical to a different coconut based hair product I have. I love the smell, so that wasn't a problem.

It is 100% Vegan, Wheat, Gluten, and Silicone free. I'm also very excited that it is silicone free, because silicone just makes your hair feel healthy and soft, but just sits on the outside of the hair shaft.

You can use it on dry hair, or wet hair. I will probably end up spraying it into my wet hair each time I wash my hair, because it is a heat protector too. But, just being curious I sprayed it on my dry hair. My hair was super staticky (#finehairproblems) the first thing I noticed was that it immediately took away the static! I sprayed a small amount in, and my hair felt like silk, and was suddenly no longer sticking to my face. It was kind of amazing to be honest. I had been dealing with staticky (I'm now aware that that evidently is not a real word...) hair all day, so the fact that this tamed it was awesome. I have issues with dry, and staticky hair in the winter, because of my hair being so fine. I'm probably going to have to stop using my volumizing shampoo and conditioner, because it won't weigh my hair down as much as it needs to in the winter.

Anyways, back to the actual product. It didn't make my hair oily, greasy, or weighed down feeling. It just made it feel so beautiful. Do you ever get that when you feel your hair, and it just feels beautiful? Well, that's what my hair felt like after using this spray. It just felt amazing. It even looks more silky!

So far I love this, even though I've only used it once, I love it.
I can't wait to use it further, and give a more in-depth review on it!
Keep your eyes peeled for a review!

Thanks for reading!

{ " Hair Growth - Two Months " }

Well... this month wasn't exactly about the growth. It was more along the lines of the next step to growing my hair out. I quite frankly got sick of the angled bob, and with the fact that I could curl the front, and braid the front, and la-dee-da the front, but I couldn't do anything to the back. That was the most frustrating thing to me. I thought growing out the back to my collar bones, then cutting the front would be a good idea. Pssh, no. Did I really think I was going to last two or three more months, and then end up having a weird looking grown out angled bob? I did think I was. But, I thought wrong.

I headed over to SmartStyle in Walmart (like always now), and decided on a shampoo, cut and blowout. I had a different stylist this time, and he was awesome. He was really (yes, I'm going to use the word sweet, no, I don't have a "crush" on him now) sweet, and totally sociable. I brought along this picture:

I knew my hair was going to be quite a bit shorter than her hair, because of where the shortest part in the back started. So, basically he evened out the ends of my hair, so it's all one length. I think that took about three or even four inches off of the front of my hair. He then dusted the back, and took off about a 1/2 inch or less.

He layered it like crazy. I think my hair looks similar to this photo from the side... but, the back is kind of insanity. I really hated the back at first, to the point where I was actually angry about it. I then reminded myself that hair grows, and before I know it it will be just about back to collar bone length! I don't mind the length in the back (as he took barely anything off). The layers though! Oh my word. I have never had so many layers in my hair. After he blowdried it (first of all it looked very very big) I almost cried when I saw the back. It looked like he just cut one straight layer into the back. One very short straight layer. I feel like he went a little more intense with the layers than in the picture above. They're just super chunky layers I suppose. They're like intensified layers from my angle I had before. This was my first "bad" salon experience, and it doesn't even look bad. It's just not what I wanted. I am kind of getting used to the layers now, and I like how they add lift at the crown, and add a lot of texture to my normally limp, fine hair. I've been playing around with my hair wax today too, and I like the kind of "messy" look it gives. Layers seem to grow out in a month anyways. I think as soon as they're not as like "BAM LAYERS" I'll be okay.

One of the girls at the salon said the cut looks great with my profile... which is pretty cool seeing as I couldn't figure out if I liked it or not. At the time I was kind of dying inside, mostly because of the huge hair, and the "bang" layers in the back.

I apologize in advance about the horrible quality of the photos... I was having some issues.
My mirror is not the best mirror to take photos in, because of the positioning of my light in my room.

So let's attempt to make them "Instagramish" ;)

See that huge chunk of layers on the right side in the back? It's aggravating me. Also, my head is tilted in the photo on the right, don't worry the hair isn't uneven! Unfortunately I did notice that on the side of my head without my bangs, the front is much shorter than the back. So he kind of screwed that up, which is a bummer. Thankfully it's not super noticeable, and I'm probably the only one who can see it. It's just a bummer. Again, I was looking for a cut with some soft layers that got shorter toward the back, not the cut that I got. I'll deal with it though, and definitely not go back to him.
Anyways, I'm excited to play with quite short hair again as it's growing out. As I look back it will be grown out before I know it! I'm going to be going with a "messy" or... textured look for quite a while, because once my hair is longer and the layers are grown out it's back to Limp Town for me. ;)

So yeahh.
There is my incredibly long update!

Step two is complete!

{ " Walmart Haul and... Oops " }

Again... what is considered a haul? Because, I only bought six things... is that considered a haul? Meh. I dunno.

Anyways, I was at Walmart and had some things on my list that I was looking to get. I knew exactly what I was looking for, which was cool. For once I wasn't just counting on trying something and hoping it would work.

Basically it looks like a jumble of stuff, but it's not.

1) Garnier Moisture Renew Refreshing Gel Cream
2) Conair 1 and 1/4" curling iron
3) FX Molding Wax - Pliable Hair Wax
4) Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Detoxifying Scrub
5) Lypsyl lip balm
6) got2b POWDER'ful Volumizing Hair Powder

I had been in need of a new daily moisturizer, and face cleanser, so I looked these two up before deciding to buy them. I love them so far, but I will definitely write reviews on them in a while after I have used them quite a bit!

The lip balm was super random. I just remembered I needed more... so I grabbed it.

As for the hair products... well, there's a reason for those.

UH-OH. Oops?
Yeah. I did it again.
This time though, I did it for a "good" reason. I decided that it was exciting to have the front of my hair long enough to curl, but the back was still too short... I then came to grips with the fact that by the time I grew the back out long enough to cut it to my liking, I would have to cut off like six inches from the front. I knew by the time that came my hair would be so dead, split, and yucky, that it would just look bad. I do wish the length was a little bit longer, as I don't really like hair this short on myself, but he cut it all the same length as the back. So, now the bottom is all one length. The layering is a little crazy. There is one section of layering in the back that I am not fond of, but hair grows, and before I know it it will have softened and grown out nicely.

This is step one in growing my hair out. I had to have it all evened out in order to grow it out evenly. I don't like it this short, but I just needed to get it done before my hair got any longer in the front. I think he took about two/three inches off of the front which seems like a ton... I did realize that in April I cut my hair to my chin, and even though I cut it again twice since then, it was down to my collar bones when I went to get it cut again today. That means it grew about five inches in those months, which is excellent! Also, I cut it to about this length back in July and it had grown out a lot since then, even with my latest angled cut. The girl had to cut three inches off the back of my hair when she did my angle two months ago. When I look at it that way, my hair grows really fast. It just doesn't seem like it when I'm waiting for it to grow!

He did blow dry it after he cut it, and it looked kind of crazy. Crazy to me at least. I have never had so much volume in my hair... Like, really. It looked like you could take my head off of my body and bounce it like a basketball...

I had fun playing with it tonight though. I used my new curling iron to loosely curl some pieces away from my face which resulted in a kind of messy look, then I shaped it with some of the hair wax I bought.

We'll see what happens. By this time next year it will all be grown back out anyways! Life's a ride, why not have fun?!

I'm super excited for this length:

A couple of months and I'll be there!

Now, after all that babbling...
Just watch out for reviews on the products I bought today, because they're definitely coming!

Thanks for reading!

{ " Wait... what?! " }

Alright... Going through old photos, and I want someone to explain to me when my hair was this long.

Now, it's looking all pretty and stuff, because it's curled in these photos. If it hadn't been curled it would have been straggly and gross, which was the reason I cut it (to almost my shoulders) last November. Let's just take a moment to soak in all that glorious hair... It's going to take me like 2 years to grow my hair back to that length!

Alright. Let's do this thing. Challenge accepted.

;)
This time though, I'm planning on having healthy long hair. Not just long hair that hadn't been trimmed for like a year and a half, thus causing split ends up to my eyeballs!
Just thought I'd share that...

{ " got2be ~ Guardian Angel ~ Flat Iron Balm " }

For quite some time I had been using the TRESemme' Heat Tamers Spray, but after going through three bottles I decided to try something new. I had a coupon for $2.00 any got2be styling product. I would never have tried this product if I hadn't gotten the coupon.

The directions are to hold the bottle 8" - 10" away from hair. Spray dry hair in sections prior to flat ironing.

It protects up to 425 degrees, and claims it will make your hair sleek, and frizz-free.

I use it when blow drying also, and it gives my hair a great amount of texture! got2be does have a spray specifically for blow drying, but I haven't seen that one in Walmart yet.

So, let's start out with the normal (somewhat) categorized review!

SCENT:
This product has a scent I can't really put my finger on. It doesn't smell good, but it doesn't particularly smell bad either. It is quite "perfumey" which you can take any way you want. I preferred the scent of the TRESemme' Heat Tamer. This one smells a little bit old... a little more flowery, and chemically. It's an interesting scent to say the least, but it's bearable. It does not really linger too much on the hair, and after about an hour there is no scent left.

TEXTURE:
It is a spray... so it's liquid. It is not sticky, and very lightweight.

PACKAGING:
The nozzle is amazing. I actually like it better than the TRESemme' bottle, which I didn't think was possible. It sprays in nice strong, even sprays, and the button is easy to press. The shape of the bottle is cute, and easy to hold in your hand as it's not bulky. My small hand fits around it great, and it's quite comfortable to hold.

OVERALL:
I absolutely love this product overall. I love the way it makes my hair feel, as it doesn't make it sticky, but it gives it texture. I have very fine, and rather thin, hair, which makes it difficult to style. The way this coats my hair gives it just the right amount of texture, and helps to keep my style in longer. I don't see that it makes my hair very glossy, but I do love it anyways. Having fine hair, my hair is almost always soft, or smooth, so that isn't usually my goal when styling. I don't know if it's protecting my hair... but, I guess it is? How do you actually know if a heat protectant is working? I dunno.... Oh well! Use it anyways!

I'm trying to figure out a new way to write out my reviews, but I'm a little OCD so sorting things out has always been something necessary to me... I know I am not the best at reviews at the time, but I'm also thinking about setting up my tripod at some point and attempting a video review. I can explain things more successfully when I am actually talking about them... We'll see how that goes!

{ " Desert Essence Green Apple & Ginger Shampoo/Conditioner " }

I have only been using this product for about a week and a half, but I figured I had my opinion on it, so it was about time to share it!

I was using a different sulfate free shampoo called, Not Your Mother's Grow Long and Strong or something of that sort. I have been using sulfate-free shampoo for about the last year. It started with Organix (And, I have used about three of their different "scents"), then went to Not Your Mother's, and now to Desert Essence. The difference with Desert Essence compared to the others is well... it's better.

Let me list the "No's" and the "Yes'" according to the website:

NO:
Parabens
Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfates
Phthalates
Artificial Fragrances or Colors
Silicones
EDTA
Glycol or Petroleum-based Ingredients
Phosphates
Animal Testing

YES:
Vegatarian/Vegan
Wheat/Gluten Free
Recyclable
Biodegradable
Renewable Sources
Cruelty Free

Well isn't that cool? The reason I looked into this line was, because of looking at a website called Vitacost. A girl I watch on YouTube also has Celiac disease, and she uses products from Desert Essence, and buys them through www.vitacost.com. Not all of Desert Essence's products are gluten free, but they have a section on their website that specifies the ones that are, and a ton of them are gluten free!

So, let's get on with the show!

SCENT:
The scent of products (especially for my hair) is extremely important to me. I have tried a couple of shampoos, and conditioners that have smelled so awful I had to stop using them. Then I have tried a few that smelled so good I wanted to eat them. Since this product is all natural, and has no artificial fragrances, it basically smells like all of the products. So, it smells like apples, and ginger. The scent kind of reminds me of dish soap for some reason... I'm not quite sure why, but it really does. The conditioner doesn't remind me as much of dish soap, but the shampoo is like full on dish soap!

TEXTURE:
Texture? Would you call it the texture? I dunno, I'm trying to figure out which word I meant... but, anyways! The shampoo is very watery, and a little goes a long way. Which is a good thing, because it's not exactly cheap (we'll get to that later). It kind of just pours out onto your hand, and you don't have to squeeze the bottle at all. The conditioner is a little bit more thick, but not luxurious in the least. I use the conditioner only on my ends (the little ends that I have that is), so I can just use a little bit. The shampoo obviously does not produce a super intense lather, but it's all natural... so I didn't expect it!

PRICE:
Each bottle on www.desertessance.com costs $8.99, but on www.vitacost.com the shampoo was $4.67, and the conditioner was $5.06. So, of course I ordered off of www.vitacost.com. You can also get Desert Essence products at Wegmans, or probably Whole Foods, maybe even Trader Joe's? I'm not sure, but I think the best place to buy their products is definitely www.vitacost.com!

OVERALL:
I love this shampoo and conditioner so far. It is the first gluten free volumizing shampoo and conditioner I have found. Also, it actually works. I don't know if it's actually, because of all of the natural oils, plant roots, and what not... or if it's, because it is just a very lightweight product. My hair is very "floaty"... can you use that word with hair? I don't know, but I'm going to. When my hair dries it does not try stuck to my scalp like normal. It has more body, and more volume for sure. I love how it dries, and usually the next day it looks even better. I don't actually have to use dry shampoo every day anymore to give it more volume. I can go four days without washing my hair (not four days without showering, don't worry), and it still looks very fluffy, and bouncy.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is gluten-free and looking for a good volumizing shampoo and conditioner. It is an excellent product, and I can't wait to try out more Desert Essence products.

{ " Hair Growth - One Month " }

Well, as you probably already know, one month of hair growth is not very significant. But, I will show it anyways.

click here for post with initial cut

I have decided I am going to grow my hair out for two years. Of course I will not wait two years to get my hair trimmed, but I am not going to do any more major cuts. I have been longing for lengthy hair lately, mostly just to do buns, braids, and other things of that sort. I thought my "journey" might be helpful for other people who may want to grow out angled haircuts such as mine. I have been told, and have read that it is very difficult to grow out a graduated bob. First of all I am sure it's going to look silly when the front of my hair is down to my... let's say armpits... and the back is a good inch shorter. To keep that from happening once my hair is down to about my... armpits, in the front, (for some reason it's funny to type that) I will have it evened out, and have the front cut to match the back. Which also means I have about four inches to go until I can even it out, and then I'll have to have an inch cut off to make it even! This is going to be quite the process. But, as my hair is getting even the slightest bit longer in the front it's reminding me of how much I love to play with it, and how much I loved it long. So, I'm going on this "journey" to grow out my hair, and resist the temptation of cutting it for two years! I'm also hoping that in the event that I get married someday (it's possible), that I will have long healthy curls (after I curl my stick straight hair that is) cascading over my shoulders. Hey, a girl can dream!

If there was any growth it was only about 1/2" which is not noticeable. But, I figured if I was gonna do this whole thing, I might as well start with the first month! It does look like my layers may have grown out a bit, or softened at least. I didn't like how choppy they looked when I first had my hair cut, but now they're bearable.

Believe it or not, I have a picture of myself with long hair up in my bedroom for inspiration. I only miss my long hair when I see it on myself. When I see other people with long hair it doesn't phase me. Then I see pictures of myself with long hair and I end up missing it. I don't regret cutting it, I just miss it.

Well, here goes nothing! I'm going to try to post every month with pictures of the sides, back, and possibly the front depending on how my face looks that day... Hehe.

Thanks for reading!

{ " change. " }

Change is good right?

Abigail was dying for a haircut, so I brought her over to Smartstyle Salon in Walmart to get her hair cut. She went for a cute slightly angled bob with a bit of layering. That is what she wanted, so that is what she got. She looks absolutely adorable,  that's for sure. So, while I was sitting there watching her get her hair cut I realized I was due for a cut. I hadn't gotten my hair cut in about 12 weeks, which is twice as long as some people would wait to get their hair trimmed.

I went in this morning knowing exactly what I wanted it. There was no hesitation, no fear, and absolutely no regret. I am extremely pleased with the outcome.
I love this cut. I personally think it suits me so well, and I love the playfulness and slight edgy look, but at the same time it's still feminine. I can't wait to play around with this cut, and figure out what I can do! Plus, it will take like a month to two months to grow out so, then I can figure out what I want next!

So, so glad I got this cut. I absolutely love it. It wasn't a huge change, but at the same time it was.

Also, some other exciting news! I was picked to review products from a VoxBox on my blog! So, within the next two weeks my VoxBox will arrive, and I'll post pictures of the box and products before I do the reviews. Super excited about that!!

Sorry for the "lame" and "annoying" mirror pictures. Lol. My tripod is currently disabled, and I didn't want to bother anyone to take the pictures for me.

Hope you all have a great weekend, and everyone is enjoying the awesome weather.

Enjoying the little things,
